·Executes engineering processes ensuring that quality products are delivered on-time at competitive cost
·Liaises with other stakeholders in order to provide professional support and advice
·Strives for improvements and efficiencies in Engineering area
·Monitors KPIs for engineering processes
·Maintains up-to-date knowledge of technical development and trends in the field of expertise
·Develop and drive OOS reduction program.
·Utilize statistical analytical techniques (SPC/SQC) to identify sources of variation and opportunities to improve.
·Determine key causes of out of spec batches and work to implement effective countermeasures to reduce/eliminate over time.
·Work in cooperation with process engineering to drive operational quality.
·Report monthly progress on metrics.
·Drive actions related to improving Right First-Time metric.
·Ensure alignment with calculation of metric and work on focused projects in conjunction with process engineering to drive improvement.
·Report monthly progress on metrics.
·Bachelors of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering
·2+ years’ experience in manufacturing / chemical industry or within the quality profession.
·Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and to manage cross functional teams.
·Analytical and problem solving skills, Six Sigma or statistical experience preferred.
·Skilled in Microsoft Office suite.
·SAP, and other database experience preferred.
·Work with and around hazardous materials, chemicals, and equipment
·Frequently sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard for extended periods of times.
·Stand continuously and walk frequently
The salary for this role is $66,200.00 - $93,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
